Note | 36:11, hiss. lst show with Cal singing. I find good quality live shows by Discharge are rare. Never did see them live. Bummer. Saw GBH about 83. Too bad 1985 Discharge went lame. Oh well. Their 7"s and Why 12" and Hear Nothing See Nothing lp are still incredible. Helps explain why there's all those Scandinavian Dis bands. In the punk heyday of 79 to 84 the punx with punked up leather jackets maybe 1 in 3 even had Discharge on the back, least in San Diego and L.A. Goldenvoice, the tour folks who did punk shows, would fly them in, as well as GBH and 1 or 2 others, at least once a year and they'd play Santa Barbara, L.A. and San Diego, I don't think elsewhere, and fly back. Pretty smart really. I listen to their first 7 records and it's as pure, beautiful, sweet HC punk as you can find. Definitive. |
