J-Card CommentFirst generation audience recording. This copy came from the original taper. A lot of versions of this tape feature heavy amounts of noise reduction. This copy has no noise reduction at all. The only minor change made was the removal of a track labelled "People Are Strange" between "Back Door Man (Reprise)" and "Hello, I Love You." It was simply a 1-second clip of the studio version of the song. The taper admitted that it was a recording error he made on the original tape, and since it wasn't part of the show, I thought it'd be a good idea to remove it just to avoid any confusion. Otherwise, this tape is as I received it. This is a worthwhile show to listen to because when The Doors released this show on video they had to splice in audio elements from other shows to fix a problem with Jim's microphone feed. This audience tape captures the original show without overdubs. It also includes "Hello, I Love You" (which wasn't included on the video release) and the complete version of "Spanish Caravan." The recording ends about two minutes into "The End."
