Comment | The final Kenny Everett Show for BBC recorded at Abbey Road Studios with John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr. John is featured in this recording and he is just amazing. What he could do with words on the fly and right off the top of his head is amazing and so funny and so brilliantly clever.
There seems to be 2 segments here, the second comes right after the initial interviews and singing and total complete stoned anarchy..... It sounds like Kenny did two seperate recordings for the final broadcast. The Beatles really liked Kenny, he was a kind hearted journaist who was every bit a player and partier as the Beatles. He was also a mad homosexual who was totally out control in his own way. He was crazy enough to add to the already crazy atmosphere that was at times, the recording sessions when they boys were in good spirits. Like after a holiday, and in this case they are 2 songs into the recording of what would be the White album. There is no funkiness. Just fun! |
