Comment | The Freight and Salvage is an approximately 225 seat coffee house style
venue. It is a non-profit organization whose goal is to promote traditional acoustic music. The crowd was a mix of aging hippies and their children and rug rat grand-children. The children only made a couple of disturbences during the show. Clap-along during the stomps only occurs a couple of times as well, so the recording is fairly clean. Taping location was fifth row, slightly left of stage. There was also a second show at 8pm. The David Grisman Bluegrass Experience consists of San Francisco Bay Area bluegrass musicians. They opened the show with a feature song for each band member. They recently released their debut CD - "DGBX" David Grisman: Mandolin / Vocals Keith Little: Banjo / Vocals Jim Nunally: Guitar / Vocals Chad Manning: Fiddle Samson Grisman: Bass |
