Comments: Last night of a historic three-night stand in Wisconsin on the Who's 1989 "25th Anniversary Tour." This was by far
the best of the three shows, and was near the point in the tour where they trimmed the set by a half-hour or more . . . I think
this is one of the top 3 or 4 shows from the reunion tour in terms of setlist and performance. Some oddities in the set included
"Mary Anne With The Shaky Hands," "Naked Eye," and the first-ever "Born on the Bayou" in the last encore. I really enjoyed
digging this one out after many years and hearing it again. Who purists are down on this tour because of the big band and the
fact that Pete handed off most of his guitar leads to someone else, but to me, I think it showcased Pete's skills as a
skilled arranger and showman.

The master recording is great, recorded with fairly decent equipment (for the era) from the 17th row right. Unfortunately, it
was dubbed for me on a low-end Sony dubbing deck . . . there are variations in quality from one side of a cassette to the next, and I
needed to significantly slow down the speed to what I think is correct (it's close, anyway). There are a few small dropouts I
can't really explain -- probably due to having played a lot for awhile and then putting in drawer for the next 15 years.
I did my best to edit those out and they shouldn't be noticeable on a casual listen.

Despite the flaws, this is a very good recording and great performance. I wish I knew where to find the taper these days so
I could do a better transfer . . . in the meantime, this is a pretty good document that any Who fan (particularly those who
enjoy this tour) should have. If you have a better version, by all means post it.
