This two CD set features a complete show from the 1977 Animals "In the Flesh" tour. It's notable for it's very good performance and the rare encore of 'Careful With That Axe, Eugene'. A song that hadn't been played for a few years at that time, and not played again until the Floyd reunion shows in '94 (w/o Roger). Roger Waters shows some real venom in 'Pigs' and 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond, parts VI-XI' which features some outstanding jamming. The bonus track 'Pigs On The Wing' is an 8-Track studio recording from the original 'Animals' sessions. 8-Track recordings can be played continously in order to seague from the end of the tape back to the beginning. The band recorded a version of 'Pigs On The Wing, pt.1' which is bridged by a guitar solo into Pigs On The Wing, pt.2'. The solo however is not played by Dave Gilmour but by Snowy White. |
