Tech Note | **Remastered** by thir13en Jimi Hendrix (with: Paul Butterfield, Elvin Bishop, Harvey Brooks, Herbie Rich, Buddy Miles, Phillip Wilson & James Tatum) 1968-03-17 Cafe Au Go Go New York, NY This came from my silver of the boot "Blues At Midnight". There have a been a few different versions of this same show and pressed by many different bootleggers with slightly altered titles and running order. From my research, it would seem this is the most accurate in order and titles. And from the amount of different "labels" that pressed this, it's clear the true ownership of this is debatable and incredibly murky, which bodes well for the trading community. Most likely its' being a "jam" recording and containing very little actual songs and no vocals keeps it a rare freebie. This one has popped up on DIME as "Jimi & Friends" and more recently on the Traders Den as the same silver but different pressing of "Blues At Midnight". So why not a remaster of it? It needs it, and to me makes a world of difference in the overall listen. A classic instrumental jam comes to full life, as Jimi tears it up with some very talented "friends". ** "Blues in C" is from a different performance at the Generation Club in New York on 1968-04-15, and therefore sounds different, not as nice as the rest but still quite enjoyable.
