Jon surman solo sessions broadcast by BBC Jazz on 3, 1999 and 2002, according to db.etree. These are typical of John's solo music which can be gentle, evocative and joyful, yet powerful at the same time and are single continuous half hour pieces with episodic track markers placed at appropriate points. Museum of Recordings list the 1999 studio set as called 'Quiet woman' but 2002 set list has no details on the web. The earlier session was particularly noisy one for FM hiss, which is audible in quiet passages, so I applied just -2dB of Nero noise reduction, enough to take the edge off the noise, but not affect sonics to any great extent so ...
