total time: 58:36

Known flaws: some transitions have flaws - some occasional diginoise.

sound is poor until 0:56 in track one when levels rise (mics repositoned)
sound again vastly improves at 1:21 in track one, and subsequently until
4:01 as Bobby sings the first verse of the Other One the listener realizes
this is a GREAT sounding audience : Voices are high in the mix - the drums sound GREAT -
the high end of the cymbals, bass drums, toms and snares all represented -
guitars sharp, clear and crisp; the bass is a bit booming or rumbling - unclarified however.
You can hear the sound echoing off the walls of the room - giving this
recording a great sense of space. Garcia's playing during this set, especially in China Cat, is incredible.
It appears that the taper was able to AGAIN reposition themselves,
in the break between the first and second sets, this time much closer to the stage;
because when Born Crossed-Eyed loudly explodes into existance the recording
is easily mistaken for a soundboard. Incredible sound for an audience recording from 1968!
It is not until the quieter parts of the Spanish Jam when there is clearly audience noise again.

I have tacked onto the end of this disc:
Vault Reel labeled unknown 1968:
GREAT soundboardMR>?
8./Drums> 1:29
9.Pre-Caution Jam/ 14:00

a mind-boggling peice of music - some of Garcia's best playing
