KQED Studios San Francisco, CA 8/30/70 VCD with audio upgrade done by Randy Carman rcarman@cogeco.ca Feb-Mar 2004. Video source: ?>VHS>DVD>TMPGENC>MPEG. Extracted from Matt Z.'s DVD Converted/encoded by Skankweed. Audio source: Master FM Reel (Taped by Michael Parrish, Sony TC-366 Reel to Reel using "Concert" polyester tape) > 3 CD > HP 9350i extraction using EAC (v0.9 beta 4) > tracking using CD Wave (v1.6) > .shn encoding using mkwACT. Proper sector boundaries verified using .shntool. EAC > SHN by Joe Jupille, with thanks to Andy Lemieux for the source CDs. Source was sped up by about 1% to match the audio from the original video. The upgrade audio was synched with the original audio at about 1 minute intervals using CoolEdit Pro. The original audio was used to patch between songs, which was missing on the upgrade source, and during an 8 second section at the beginning of Easy Wind, where there was a radio announcer's voice. Upgrade audio WAV converted to VCD compliant MP2 using HeadAC3he. Remuxed original video with upgrade audio using TMPGEnc. 1. Easy Wind 2. Candyman 3. Casey Jones 4. Brokedown Palace 5.
