September 10, 1970 VPRO radio session [live no audience] Piknik Kasteel Groeneveld Baarn Amsterdam, Holland From 1971 rebroadcast: off-air reel source with splices from an alternate source. CD: 31:26 1- Thank You 5:45 2- > M'Lady 4:46 3- Sing a Simple Song 5:33 4- Stand! 5:23 5- > Dance To The Music 4:55 5- > Music Lover 1:44 6- I Want to Take You Higher [reprise] [cuts] 3:16 This is a fixed version of what was recently seeded, which has serious digital dropouts for some of tracks 3 and 4 - now cleaned up by splicing in sections from an alternate source of similar sound quality. The show has also been normalized which improved it all a lot to my ears (listen on headphones if you have any doubts). No lineage info on the alternate source but it's from the shorter rebroadcast and is low gen. I'm hazy on exactly what "Piknik Kasteel Groeneveld Baarn" means as to the venue, place and radio show but I've had this previously listed as Baary, Holland "Piknik Show" VPRO session. I've also seen it listed as 9-2-70, so 9-10-70 might have been the original broadcast date with the info I had being for the recording date. Any clarifications will be appreciated.
