The file-format is 1080i MPEG2 in a transport-stream container (.ts). If you are new to HDTV playback, you can
start with the VLC VideoLAN client for example. Basicly, the codec used is MPEG2, which is the same codec
used for DVDs, but with a higher resolution. Your hardware DVD standalone player will most likely not playback the file
(ok, maybe if you have a Toshiba HD-A1 ;) ).
Most recent versions of dvd software players (like PowerDVD, WinDVD, etc.) support ts playback by now. If a .ts
is not recognized by your player, you can try to rename it to .mpg Please keep in mind, that you need a rather powerful
computer for smooth playback. (about "2,5 GHz" and up should be fine) |
