Tech NoteSony ECM 16t mics -> Sony D8 (DAT) -> Monster Cable -> SB Live -> Goldwave 5.12 -> FLAC 1.1.2a (level 7) Location: 8 feet in front of stage, slightly left. In front of stacks & overhead speakers. Most of sound is off the stage monitors, drums from the drumset. Has a nice different feel, like you are watching the band jam out in your garage, less amplified & more natural. Taper ramblings: Got really lost trying to find the venue this time. Buried in the backwoods & internet map directions were not very kind. Got there & set up just in time then realized there was an opener "Wednesday 13". Couldnt tape them cause I only has one 124m DAT & didnt see on any sites (including the Penn's Peak one) that said there would be one... They were decent, kinda like Marilyn Manson with Misfits lyrics. Got really close to the stage for Alice, about 8 feet away. Stacks & overheads were beyond where I was so most of the sound is from the stage monitors. In parts you can hear Alice tapping things with his sword & maybe his vocals directly (I have to listen closer for this). At the end of "Guilty" you can faintly hear a voice tell me I'm a good sport. Story behind that There where three women to my left. Soon as Alice went on one of them started doing the drunken lean on me, rub up against me, touching me thing. Yes, long blond hair, hot & all slutted out for Alice... I kept ignoring her (painfully) since i was taping & didnt want mic phasing or speech to come out. At the end of "Guilty" she had her arm around me, started caressing my neak & face. It appeared the "Take her home" option was clearly available... What did I do? Shielding the mics I let her know I was taping, thinking she would just be considerate & continue her activities. Next thing I knew she was gone, like nowhere to be found for the rest of the show... Guess I took one for the team on this...
