Summer of 86 I took Tom's mom to see Black Rider, the opera, in L.A. live. It was an odd show but the music with like a 10 person 'Waitsian' sounding orchestra including a guy who played the saw. She had a great time and after the show was escorted back stage where the band and actors treated her like royalty. I told the lead performer he looked like k d lang and he said he was her cousin. |
