| Note | Big Brother and the Holding Co. When I was a teenager the local FM station, KPRI, the DJ said the first person to come to the studio he'd give them the Cheap Thrills lp. I hoped on my stingray bike, world's greatest bike of all time w/ that banana seat and up handle bars and how it could skid out perfectly, and peddled as fast as I could to their little station about 10 blocks arcoss downtown San Diego and got the lp. I was so jazzed. Fantastic record. Summertime, her version, is one of my favorite renditions/songs of all time. |
