[TR] = "Fan Club Singles 1991-1999", which was treed to the Yahoo Group CDR trading group in early 2000; no more details of the transfer from vinyl to cdr are known [^] = note that there is nothing wrong with this track...the sound effects on the right channel near the end were intentional and present on the original vinyl [%] = with Neil & Tim Finn (formerly of Split Enz and Crowded House) [#] = with Joey Ramone (of the Ramones) [^] = Green River reunion with Mark McLaughlin (aka Mark Arm) and Steve Turner (of Mudhoney) along with Chuck Treece (bassist from Urge Overkill) on drums [*] = with Terry Presley (Elvis Presley's second cousin) [$] = in comparing the Official bootleg with the fan club vinyl, it was discovered that apparently some creative editing was done on the version that made it to the vinyl, seemingly to shrink the length of the track by about ten seconds or so; this time compression was not recreated for this release, only fades were added to try and match those of the vinyl [~] = with Brendan O'Brien on keyboards [+] = starting at about the 0:07 mark of track 21 (where the drums start) through about halfway into track 22, a light hiss noise is present in the background; different extraction techniques were experimented and tried (even by recording the sound from the dvd through a soundcard), and the hiss was always present, so it was concluded that the hiss must have been recorded on the dvd that way; hiss reduction was attempted to clean up the sound, but it seemed to take too much high end off the tracks, so the two tracks were left unedited |
