NoteWith soundcheck. Sound is not "terrible", as so many people have indicated on their comments. This is actually a very nice audience recording, with only a few spots of crowd chatter bleeding into the performance. Despite being the first show, the band is actually quite polished, and it's a very good performance. It's worth noting that Eddie's lyrics are a lot different on several songs, either because he forgot them, or was still writing them. Plus, I might be wrong, but I think this is the only live performance of Girl, and it sounds great. Makes you wonder why they let that song slip away without exploring it more thoroughly. The Even Flow soundcheck starts a few seconds into the song, and the performance in the set is cut at the end. Black has its first verse chopped off. Apparently these flaws are on the master, and all copies. The only flaw not mentioned in the other reviews is that the first half of the opening riff of Once is also cut. There are no gaps for any of these missing pieces, and the edits are done quite seamlessly. As far as historical shows go, it's great that we have such a relatively clean sounding representation for Pearl Jam. If only the taper had realized what they were witnessing and didn't miss those couple of pieces...
