Vallehovin Stadium Notes: (? 1999/2000 www.u2-flom.de): This is one of several compilation CDs to come out in the past few years. It is a decent collection of acoustic songs. The Dalton Brothers songs from LA, 1987 are quite good (and funny!) The guys talk in a country drawl and say that they play 2 kinds of music: country AND western ... The demo version of 'First Time' is quite rare and a nice addition. And the last track is quite interesting; in the middle of Love is Blindness, Bono starts reciting "All Along the Watchtower". The sound quality is about 1/2 soundboard and the others are very good to excellent audience recordings. I can't think of a single track that is a very bad recording. This is the original pressing on this label. |
