Near the end of this song, the original encoder finished tape 1 and put in tape 2. This leaves the DVD with about 30 seconds of an odd blue and grey screen. Because each tape was shortsightedly encoded as separate 'movies' with different bitrates to fit the whole thing on one DVD, trying to edit out the grey screen rendered both halves of the DVD out of sync. I didn't want to decode the dvd to MPEG2 to edit it and then run the risk of quality loss converting back to DVD. And trust me, I spent about 3 days and 5 software packages trying to get it to work. So what I did was place a dummy chapter break at the end of the nonsense so that when you see the song stop and the grey screen come up, just push your 'next chapter' button on your remote a couple times till you get to Track 3, Chapter 2. Or if you just let it continue running, it will eventually go to the conclusion of the song. |
