Note | The famous Saturnight LP finally has circulated among collectors as a wonderful bootleg. My version sounds beautiful, and it's absolutely free of any Vynil pops or noises.
This is an extraordinary performance driven by Cat's voice in excellent shape (unlike Majikat 1976 DVD, here he doesn't sound raspy, and his singing is more natural and enjoyable) |

Comment | Show has been labelled as various incorrect dates, 6/22/74 is correct. An official release of this date ("Saturnight", more info) has apparently also been bootlegged as "Tour of the Cat". A 1974 tour schedule lists Stevens as playing Sun Plaza in Tokyo on 6/21,22/74. Cat Stevens - acoustic guitar, piano, vox Alun Davies - guitar, b.vox Larry Steele - guitars, percussion, b.vox Jim Cregan - guitar Jean Roussel - keys Bruce Lynch - bass guitar Gerry Conway - drums, percussion Anna Peacock - b.vox Suzanne Lynch - b.vox |
