Note | Very rare first Dan album (pre - "Can't Buy A Thrill"), called "You Gotta Walk It Like You Talk It". This was the soundtrack to the movie of the same name, composed by Becker & Fagen. I am Missing "YGWILYTI (Reprise)". Same disc as 1/1/72. My copy also includes B-sides: Stone Piano (Alt. Take), Sun Mountain (Alt. Take), Here At The Western World, FM |

Comment | Becker and Fagen wrote and recorded the soundtrack to the obscure movie "You Gotta Walk It Like You Talk It (Or You'll Lose That Beat)". The recordings feature a full band, with Fagen on piano and keyboards, Becker on bass, Dias on guitar and John Discepolo on drums. Vocal duties are shared by Fagen, Kenny Vance (who also produced) and Marty Kupersmith (on the title track). Fagen makes a brief cameo in the film. Recorded in the same studio as the Becker & Fagen studio demos from 1969. |
