Comment | "Gaucho" Outtakes. This batch of tunes is a hodgepodge of studio outtakes from the troubled "Gaucho" sessions and rough piano and bass demos recorded by Donald and Walter. "The Second Arrangement"--the most famous never-released Dan tune--was the first track completed for the album, and apparently, Donald and Walter loved it. It was mistakenly erased by a junior engineer. The full band outtake below was Becker and Fagen's unsuccessful attempt at re-recording the song. |
