Everything they released after the Damaged LP was 95% garbage. And then the 2003 Palladium 'Early Years' show with Greg and Dez and some other 'who's this guy' singer and a DRUM MACHINE! man, it was THE WORST! punk reunion gig of all time. It is impossible for there to ever be a worse one. I was saying for weeks after that it killed punk rock. Turns out that was the total waste of time speaking. I was being flamboyant about it. Still, it's incredible how much a difference it made that Keith Morris and the other original BF members were not there. Funny thing is, my friend invited me to see Keith singing with the Rollins Band earlier that year at the intimate Casbah in San Diego. I didn't go thinking the tickets I had for the Palladium show would/could be brilliant. Turns out from the few cdrs I've heard of that Keith/Henry show when they did BF songs, That was what we was lookin' for. Much like when Keith sang 3 old BF songs with the half Circle Jerks/half Weirdos band at the El Rey 12/01. Whew doggy that blew our minds. Oh well. |
