J-Card Comment | Eric Clapton Vancouver - PNE Coliseum February 1st, 1978 ACQUIRED CDR > EAC > GLITCH REMOVAL > WAV > FLAC Disc 1: Peaches and Diesel Wonderful Tonight Lay Down Sally Next Time You See Her The Core We're All the Way Rodeo Man Fool's Paradise Mean Old Frisco Cocaine Badge Double Trouble Better Make it Through Today Disc 2: Let it Rain Knockin' On Heaven's Door Nobody Knows You Key to the Highway Have You Ever Loved a Woman Layla Further On Up the Road First night of the 1978 U.S. tour to promote the Slowhand album, so I think it was the debut for some of the most important EC songs ever, like Wonderful Tonight (you can tell it is a debut because of the totally wrong start by EC !!!) and Lay Down Sally (Cocaine was premiered some months earlier during a Japanese tour): an historic date !!! I obtained this recording in a tape trade back in 1983; for more info and artwork check, as usual (tanks Mark): http://www.geetarz.org/reviews/clapton/core.htm but please note that this torrent comes from my old TDK-D tapes (supposed to be 3rd generation from the master) and it is NOT from the CD bootleg "The Core" on the Beano label, so I cannot compare the quality even if presume they should be very similar as the source should be the same. I think this is a pretty good recording, especially if you consider that it is an audience recording from more than 28 years ago: surely one of the best from the 1978 audience recordings, and a complete and long show too (nearly 130 mins). Band: EC - guitar, vocals George Terry - guitar, vocals Carl Radle - bass Dick Simms - keyboards Jamie Oldaker - drums Marcy Levy - vocals |
