Note | First performance of "And It Stoned Me". Strong performances of Run For The Roses and Harder They Come, and a utterly fantastic Dear Prudence.
The recording of the first set is very clean without any significant technical flaws (minor wind screen noise ~ 3 minutes into d1t02). Second set is a little overdriven during the first track with a few minor dropouts, likely unrelated to digital transfer but on the cassette master as there was detectable hiss during the silent gaps. The beginning of the second song of the second set had stop and or a flip followed by major fluctuations in levels for about a second from clipping to no signal - sounds like some knobs were getting twisted ;-), Subsequent to level stabilization, peak levels in the left channel were consistently ~4-5 dB lower than the right channel, which was disruptive to the stereo image. A + 3.5 dB gain to the left channel was applied to the second set from the drop in level on. Intermittent close up clapping periodically. |
