Comment | The first night of Rory's 6-night stand at the old Colonial (now long-gone)
- I talked to M about this series of shows & he remembers him & a bunch of friends going to all of them , also , they collectively taped all of them as well ..... where the other nights are , well , M's not sure he still has copies of them but you never know - he might find them someday .... we hope. - I've seen only 2 of these Colonial shows in trade lists - the 19th & the 24th . These lists put the running time of either of these nights at approx. 130 mins. which I find puzzling. Why? Well , M mentioned that the last song on side 1 of the tape was cut due to the tape running out (he only could afford to buy 1 blank cassette at the time) BUT he sure never mentioned anything about approx. 40 mins. missing (lack of tape or no) ! Since this is my first time EVER hearing this gig , I couldn't begin to say how much more (besides the rest of Seventh Son) could be missing .... Any clarification by people who have heard other versions of Mar.19th would be gratifying - I hate to think I've uploaded a show that's missing almost 1/4 of the music played ! |
