Jesus or a Gun Comments: This is an acoustic set that Fuel played during the afternoon before they played their show at A1A Riptide. The band was at a studio just outside of Lexington (name of the place escapes me now, but oh well). The band sticks to their most familar songs and have interesting chats with the small in-studio audience. Jesus or a Gun * These songs were played live before they appeared on the band's album 'Something Like Human'. Comments: WOW, what a fucking awesome show. The energy level in the band was high and so was the audience. Little did we know then that we were about to be exposed to several new songs on the their up-coming new album, Something Like Human. As I found out after the show, the band had been in town for several days and were using the A1A Riptide Theater as a practice hall. As you will hear Brett explain in his banter, the band every came up with some of the songs right there in Lexington. Solace, is the first new song. Brett says they have played it a few times but it is a 'rare bird.' As the show goes on, they unleash three more new tunes written while they were in Lexington: Innocent, Slow, and Scar. This recording comes directly from my MASTER recording. There are 2-3 seconds missing between Track 13 (Slow) and Track 14 (Sunburn) because I had to flip the tape. During the flip, someone in the audience yelled out "FREEBIRD!" The recording starts with Brett's response.
