Laurel Pop Festival-Laurel Maryland July 12, 1969 This very rare set is from the Laurel Pop Festival July 12 1969. Offerred up by the original taper and in circulation amongst Guess Who fanatics. I offer this piece of history to the live music community. This includes the pre-American Woman band's late sixties Doorsish signature tune.."Friends of Mine". I searched for years for a live recording of this song and here it is. A real period piece. The band had already had a huge hit in "These Eyes" and "Laughing" and "No Time" were on the charts. This is probably for die-hards only as the sound is fairly iffy with lots of crowd chatter. But it is the only recording of this band that I am aware of from 1969. |
