NTSC-DVD from various sources (downloads, trades), lineage unknown Simple "no frills" menu and chapters generated with Nero 1) Spade Cooley Show, KTLA-TV (prob. late 1950s) 29 minutes, several chapters 2) Western Varieties, hosted by Doyle O'Dell, KTLA-TV (prob. early/mid- 1950s) with The Frontiersmen, Carolina Cotton, Jimmy Wakely, Tex Williams (Smoke, Smoke, Smoke That Cigarette), Eddie Dean (Hillbilly Heaven), and others 45 minutes, several chapters 3) Foy Willing & The Riders Of The Purple Sage 29 minutes, several chapters 4-15) Flatt & Scruggs footage b/w, with time code (4-13), color (14 & 15) early 1960s each clip around 2 minutes, 14 & 15 a little longer I've done quite a lot of "research" and cannot find any of this footage on any official release. The quality is obviously less than perfect, video deterioration is visible in spots & several cuts are present. |
