Note | "On The Radio." Crisp professional recording that captures the band's pre-fame days. The band definitely isn't as tight as they would become later, but this is still a strong performance for the most part, and it's nice to have such clean recordings of songs they haven't played in years. The show pretty much falls apart after C Yo Yus, when a series of broken strings derails every song they try after that, but even that is actually pretty entertaining. (Trivia: you can hear Mike and Trey jamming out an early version of Longview while Billy Joe fixes his guitar). For serious fans only, but a great listen if you fall into that category. |
