| Comment | During New Year's Day, a song inspired by Poland's Solidarity movement in the early 80s, fans raise red and white shirts and cloths to form an image of the Polish flag. Bono is clearly moved, and turns his jacket inside-out to reveal the red lining. Miracle Drug is dedicated to the late Pope John Paul II. Polish artist Piotr Mlodozeniec, the original creator of the COEXIST image that has been a central part of the Vertigo Tour, is at the show. |
