The recording without the dubbed applause is inferior as it has more static and distortion. I prefer the cleaner version with the dubbed applause. Using SoundForge I've removed the applause. It is now 8:03. Both tracks have minor dropouts throughout. From the Genesis Discography: "Some releases of these songs have audience applause dubbed into the mix -- this is not in the original. These are studio recordings." B. Sounds Of The Seventies (5/10/71) 71.01 The Musical Box (11:54) - substantial lyric variation 71.02 Stagnation (8:52) - closer to Trespass version C.
