| Comment | This is the opening set that Cris Jacobs (The Bridge) played with Russel Batiste and Stanely Perkins. This set was improvised all the way through. There were no rehearsals, they'd never played together in this lineup, no set lists, no chord sheets...(you'll hear Russell screaming out instructions, key changes, etc...or they'd just fall into a new song (Chameleon, and Cold Duck Time for example by noodling around between songs)
When you hear it in that context, it winds up being pretty badass Leo Notecelli was supposed to play guitar but was a no-show, so Cris more then stepped up to the task... Adam sits in on Sax for the last 4 songs. Cris's tone is just amazing.... |
