Jay says: "In very simple terms, I have built a full-blown Digital Audio Workstation. It is very much like Sonic Solutions, except at a much lower cost. "Bertha" has a Samplitude v5.5 front end. It utilizes a RME Digi96-PST PCI Digital Audio card for the recording process, and a SB Live card for monitoring the audio signal only. Remastering is done by recording in real time, in the digital domain, by way of an optical connector. This allows for real-time manipulation of the digital audio signal. I am amazed by the results this inexpensive system can produce." |
