Taper's comments : This is a new recording which I taped yesterday at the "Fabrik" in Hamburg, Germany. The support act were labelmates "Rilo Kiley", the main act were "Bright Eyes" (Conor Oberst & Band). Full recording, approx. 140 minutes on two audio cdr's. I don't give ratings for my recordings anymore, but it really sounds mighty fine (I stood 2 metres away from Conor Oberst, first row centre). Recording equipment was a Sony TCD-D100 DAT & Soundman OKM II Rock in-ear microphones. The "Fabrik" was sold out, and since I arrived early (as usual ;-) I was the first person to get into the hall, and this resulted in an excellent recording (especially Rilo Kiley, the support act who played a 45 minute set). For Bright Eyes I had to make room for one of the many press people who were filming, and I stood in 2nd row for the rest of the concert. There's a couple of unwanted noises during "Landlocked blues" and especially "Bowl of oranges", seems my DAT needs a break from my heavy touring schedule ~lol~...well, no audience recording can be perfect (but the gig surely was, he sang better than he did on CD!) . Sound quality: EX- |
