Tech NotePink Floyd - 'A Small Victory Over Rancour' Live8, Hyde Park, London 2nd July 2005 Video: BBC dvb broadcast 704x576 PAL stream (thank you joefish) Audio: BBC2 FM Broadcast 48Khz, 16bit pcm stereo (thank you enajh2) Best available rips of both sources. The FM source is cross-faded in just before the band strike the first chord. This was done to obscure Chris Evans'radio commentary. The band came on stage to 'Brain Damage' which had been accompanied by the familiar 'pulse' animation. This 'pulse' (dvd source) and the preceding few bars of 'Brain Damage' are used here as a 'title' animation which cuts at the precise moment the dvb footage starts. None of it encroaches in any way on either of the source streams, and can be ignored via the menu screen if prefered. cover art based on an unpublished audience photo from the show. demux vob with tmpgenc, convert FM audio sample type to 48Khz/224 (Cooledit) remuxed, insert chapters and .TS produced in DVDauthor. Tital animation vegas video/Cooledit.
