Tech NoteBasically they (I believe just Jimmy and Robert) let the tape roll and went to town on some acoustic jamming. It?s cool to hear a ?brainstorming? session like this. I don?t know if Jones is there or not but it is clear that Page is on one acoustic but there is also another playing many times throughout the album. I?m fairly confident that it?s probably Plant. A little vocal stuff here and there as well. The first track starts out as if they had been playing and then quickly started the tape. This is how it is on the album I did not start the recording too late. Just a little F.Y.I.. There are 16 total tracks on the album. Although side A lists 8 tracks there are actually 9 tracks on that side. Also, Side B lists 8 tracks as well but there are only 7. We still get the 16 tracks but not as listed on the cover. Check out how the labels are laid out. I?ve kind of wondered if this was totally deliberate and there were subtle hints here and there on the labels to make mention of it. I didn?t title the tracks. Since the numbers per side varied I thought I?d be more likely to get it wrong so I just numbered them as they were on each side. I also know nothing about the date of these recordings. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this little collection. I understand that some might be upset at the ?quality? of my work but this is my first attempt at transferring an LP over to a digital format and I am not yet astute nor daring enough to mess with the tools that I DO have to try to take out the hiss and whatnot. So, to the hardcore Zep audiophiles, I hope you are not disappointed. Don?t get me wrong, it sounds very VERY good. In my opinion it is absolutely no different than the actual vinyl. What you hear is just how it came off of the LP. I am certainly not disappointed and I think the stuff sounds great. Not bad for a first crack. I did the best I could on getting the cover together so you could see it. I couldn?t find it anywhere so I scanned it and tried to clean it up the best I could.

CommentThis is just a tape running while Page tries out some stuff on acoustic guitar with Robert Plant occasionally adding lyrics here & there. They're just brainstorming really and the "songs" are mainly unidentifiable except for the odd bit here or there.
