Tech Note1.: AUD(M) > DAT > SBLive! digital > PC (left channel) 2.: Rubber Dubber (Vinyl) > DAT > SBLive! digital > PC (right channel) > some noise reduction > mixing > shn (m) > shntool > flac The first source (left channel) is transferred from the master audience tape. The master tape was transferred to DAT, then brought into a PC through a SBLive! digital input. This is known as the "far" source and is more complete than the other source. The second source (right channel) is transferred from an original Rubber Dubber bootleg vinyl. To this point, it is the best known source for this tape, as the original audience master has never surfaced. The Munia bootleg vinyl was taken from the Rubber Dubber pressing, and is inferior in quality. The vinyl was transferred to DAT, and brought into the PC through a SBLive!. Some noise reduction was done to this source before mixing it with the other source. These two sources are likely to be the best sources we will ever track down. The "far" tape was at the correct speed, and the Rubber Dubber source had to be speed corrected to match. Due to subtle differences in speed fluctuations from both sources, a single simple speed adjustment wasnt enough. The Rubber Dubber source was split into tiny pieces and each piece was speed adjusted, and the right channel was then pieced together piecemeal. A long process, but well worth it. Since the second source was incomplete, the first source was patched in in places, brought in and out via a fade, as opposed to a jarring cut. The Intro, Lover Man and Ezy Rider all have cuts that have been patched by the first source. moved trackstarts to block boundaries (shntool)
