Tech NoteDigitally remastered using a custom built, Dual-DAW, nicknamed Bertha, by jashley@deadacated.com. Completed on October 8, 2004. Kudos to Rob for a wonderful transfer. Although the transfer is excellent, the source is midee sounding, and unfortunately, is a "kick mix." The entire spectrum was shifted to make for a fuller, and more even sound at flat setting. Unfortunately, the low bass had to be restrained to keep the kick from being too obtrusive. Bertha Remasters are recorded to be played flat. From the original text file, prior to Bertha remastering: (*)Transfer by Rob Eaton Master 1/2 trk 7" reels @7.5ips (DBX encoded)-> PCM beta digital->Sony 2500 dat-> DB Technologies DB3000S for digital emphisis decode-> DB Technologies 924 for D->A conversion-> Dolby 361 modules W/K9-22 DBX cards for DBX decode-> Neve Capricorn Digital mixing colsole (24 bit/ 32bit floating point processing (for level adjustment)-> Panasonic SV4100 Pro Dat recorder (master Decode Dat)-> Master Clone (panasonic Sv3700->Sv3800 via AES interlink) U.S. Blues (Alt soundboard source) CD editing and mastering by The Wizard
