NoteSony ECM-939LT stereo mics (x2) > Marantz PMD-340 cassette deck
Taped onto TDK AD-X normal bias tape, with Dolby on
Set up two rows behind soundboard, and eight seats to the right
Mics raised aprx seven and a half feet on a tent pole

Transfer:
MAC > Sony TC-D5M > Soundblaster > Soundforge > CD-Wave > FLAC
Soundforge used for fades and some minor repairs (see notes)
CD-Wave for Track ID's, and FLAC Frontend for lossless compression
Verified and repaired SBE's with Traders Little Helper program

Two-Disc Burning Option (for 80-minute discs):
Make disc one the first set, plus tuning > Shakedown, plus Day Job
Make disc two tuning > Estimated, and thru Sugar Magnolia.

Notes:
-- I was seated near "air-wistle guy" (the taper's curse), so I used
Soundforge to soften it up a bit where I could, and without disrupting
the music. Now it's a little less jarring than on the master.
-- Made a quick tape-flip in drums (at 7:51), only a few seconds missing.
-- These shows featured the first use of the surround-sound ambient
speakers. (They were only used in the first half of 1984.) You can't
really hear it too well on the tape. It's mostly noticeable during
some of Jerry's vocals on Eyes, and during parts of drums/space.
-- Taped and Transferred by Andrew F. June 2005 -- ENJOY !!
