NoteOkay here is my next offer. It is by my all time favorite jazz composer and performer.
Outside of Benny Golson, who's written so many standards in jazz? No one has.
It's not a perfect recording. I has some problems with my mini disc recorder.
But, since Horace Silver has basically been retired for the past 5 years, and he doesn't travel much,
I figured those jazz fans around the world who weren't lucky to be in NYC to catch this very rare show,
should have the chance to hear it too. He sold out every show that week.

Horace Silver Octet, May 2, 2004 Blue Note NYC 10:30. Last show of the week. Horace Silver then went back into retirement.

I was sitting next to the piano and had my microphone on table. Man this show was kicking some ass. At 75 Horace still has his chops.
