This far surpasses the aud that is currently posted on the archive. Got this tape in early '84 directly from the taper (nice fellow from Virginia whose name I've fotgotten.) This was taped on the floor, and sounds FOB with very close-up sound. Jerry's guitar is better in this mix than on the chopped-up sbd that circulates. The static you hear during Stranger was coming from the PA system. The tape was paused between some songs; Rooster, Lazy Lightnin, and Terrapin start up abruptly with a little bit missing. There's an abrupt end to Tennessee Jed for a tape flip. There was a tape flip and (presumably) rewinding at the end of drums, seems to be less than a minute missing from space. Soundforge was used for fades, to clean up the tape flips, and to fix a small dropout in Dire Wolf. I patched a few seconds of audience left channel onto a right channel drop-out at the end of Esau. CD-Wave was used for track ID's and FLAC Frontend for lossless compression. Transferred May 2005. ENJOY!
