J-Card CommentOrbital, omt011, Ocean + Homelands 2001, Broadcast, Flac. Artist: Orbital Event: MTV Dance Launch Party & Homelands Festival Venue: Ocean, London & Matterley Bowl, Winchester, England Date: 30 June 2001 & 26 May 2001 Sources: Digital Satellite Broadcasts by MTV Dance and BBC Radio1, + some material webcast by MTV Audio quality: 9?/10 Flac (level 8, sector boundary aligned, verified) Cover art: see link disk 1 1. intro 2. tension 3. the girl with the sun in her head 4. last chance 5. funny break (one is enough) - weekend ravers mix 6. belfast 7. oi! 8. illuminate 9. satan * disk 2 1. tootled 2. are we here? 3. impact the earth is burning * 4. doctor ? + 5. chime 6. oi! * 7. illuminate * (7. illuminate 4 mins, FADE - for people without overburn facility) 8. satan + 9. impact the earth is burning + Disk 1 and disk 2, 1-5 represent a complete set in the best available quality for the 2001 Altogether tour. The other tracks on disk 2 are extras to make the most complete versions of the two shows used for this release. I wanted to keep Tootled and Are We Here? together because of how one track runs into the next, so although the total time is less than 160 minutes, the second disk comes out to 84 minutes. It can be overburned with D2Track07 if you have that facility, or you can use D2Track07FADE to make it fit on to an 80 minute disk. I will make a full version of Illuminate available on a later release to cover this. Lineage: Ocean MTV Dance broadcast (all tracks not otherwise marked) Matrix soundboard & *Homelands BBC Radio1 Broadcast (Annie Nightingale show) Matrix soundboard Sky Digi-box > analogue interconnect > Pioneer PDR-509 CDR Recorder > EAC > .wav MTV Webcast - Pure Soundboard (no audience mike) Webcast (unknown bit rate) > Hard drive > CDR > EAC All tracks edited together, and tracked in Soundforge. There are some additional patches from the webcast to cover sections of the MTV broadcast cut for advert breaks. I have also added in some crowd noise over these patches to fit in with the crowd noise patches added by MTV, and also to match the sound as best I can. I did not add crowd noise over 'Doctor ?', except for the start and end to match into the surrounding tracks. Disk 2 tracks 6 and the two versions of 7, also disk 2 track 8 and 9, were Flac encoded as pairs to match sector boundary alignment. Cover artwork available for download at http://www.cdr.vplay.co.uk/omt0112.htm Cover design Jamie Lochhead ? 2001. I retain the copyright to this design and I will not tolerate it being used for financial gain, so there! Anyone wishing to find out more about the Orbital trade group, or wishing to join (you would very welcome) should see: www.cdr.vplay.co.uk/01orbital.htm www.groups.yahoo.com/groups/orbital_music_trading A list of the recordings we have for the group is at, we would greatly appreciate any offerings of more concerts/sessions, or better quality recordings of those we have, see: http://www.cdr.vplay.co.uk/live1.htm In particular we are looking for recordings of Glastonbury 1995, voted one of the 50 greatest gigs ever by Q magasine recently. Thank you Matt for supplying the webcast recording, and various alternative recordings. For trade only, under no circumstances may this CD or cover be offered for commercial sale Please do not encode to MP3, and please pass on for free, do not sell. Enjoy.

Commentwith some tracks from Homeland, May 19, 2001. Which really sucks, b/c they are unlabeled, so no one can tell what Orbital actually played on 6/30/01.
