Comment | As you can see, 'Hands Away' was aborted. At the beginning of that song, Samuel (Interpol's drummer) stopped playing and instantly jumped out of his drum set, then ran and crossed the stage holding his chest. This was quite suprising. All the rest is understandable from the recording. First of all, none of the other members knew what was happening (although I think Carlos -the bass player- had been talking a lot with the drummer during the set). Paul, the lead singer, said he'd go backstage and fetch some infos. When he returned, he told us that Samuel was very ill and vomiting, etc, etc... He explained they had to stop the show, but at the exact time all of them were exiting the stage, Samuel came back and said to us that even though he was feeling very bad, he'd try and finish the concert. Consequently, Stella wasn't played contrary to what the setlist paper indicates, and some songs were swapped. |
