J-Card Comment | BILLY JOEL Sigma Sound Studios, Philadelphia, PA US April 15, 1972 pre-fm 7"reel>stand-alone cd burner>cdr>Sound Forge 7.0>wav>flac Spectacular sound quality, especially considering the age. It's an intimate glimpse at a playful 22 year-old at the dawn of his career (only his first album "Cold Spring Harbor" has been released). It's like dropping into your neighborhood bar and finding him at the piano. Lots of dialogue. Impressive piano on several tracks. Again, I received this from my friend Ed Sciaky...NOt as clean as the Bonnie Raitt I posted earlier, But still should be an upgrade for most. AS always remember ED SCIAKY when you play this recording...at the time he was the only one who beleived in Billy Joel and worked hard to expose his music to many others. 1. Falling of the Rain 2. Travelin' Prayer 3. Billy The Kid 4. She's Got a Way 5. Everybody Loves You Now 6. Nocturne 7. Turn Around 8. Long Long Time 9. Captain Jack 10. Josephine 11. Rosalinda 12. Tomorrow is Today |
