J-Card Comment | Orbital, omt008, Seattle 1996, Webcast, Flac. Artist: Orbital Venue: Train Station, Seattle, WA. Date: 28 June 1996 Sources: Webcast - soundboard (without audience) Audio quality: 9/10 Flac (level 8, sector boundary aligned) Cover art: see link Disk 1 1.Out There Somewhere (pt1&2) 2.Choice 3.Lush 4.The Girl with the Sun in Her Head 5.Dwr Budr 6.The Box (pt2) 7.The Box (pt1) Disk 2 1.P.E.T.R.O.L. 2.Satan 3.Halcyon 4.Forever (start only) 5.Chime 6.Impact The sequencers broke down on Forever, so that is all that was performed. Dwr Budr and The Box (pt2) were not performed on tours other than in 1996, here both are excellent versions. Lineage, known as 'Ben's copy', as far as I know: 1. Soundboard (no audience mike, audience sound only when the on stage mike is open) 2. > Real Audio 3.0 dual ISDN Stream > DAT > Hard Drive > CDR > (trades?) 3. > EAC (secure mode) > WAV > Soundforge > Flac (level 8, verified, sector boundary aligned) Lines 1 and 2 may not be gospel, but is a very educated guess. I have done some normalisation and volume adjustments. Some of the gaps between tracks have been shortened. There is a patch in Forever from a source via a vhs recording (probably less than a second). Cover artwork available for download at http://www.cdr.vplay.co.uk/omt0082.htm Cover design Jamie Lochhead ? 2005. I retain the copyright to this design and I will not tolerate it being used for financial gain, so there! Anyone wishing to find out more about the Orbital trade group, or wishing to join (you would very welcome)should see: www.cdr.vplay.co.uk/01orbital.htm www.groups.yahoo.com/groups/orbital_music_trading A list of the recordings we have for the group is at, we would greatly appreciate any offerings of more concerts/sessions, or better quality recordings of those we have, see: http://www.cdr.vplay.co.uk/live1.htm In particular we are looking for recordings of Glastonbury 1995, voted one of the 50 greatest gigs ever by Q magasine recently. Thank you to Matt and Adam for contributing the source recordings. For trade only, under no circumstances may this CD or cover be offered for commercial sale Please do not encode to MP3. Enjoy. |
