I removed the analog tape hiss and speed corrected the tape. The Pink Tape is known for being mastered at the incorrect speed. Using Cool Edit Pro I set the ratio to 102.079%. This ratio was found comparing different sections of Night Photographs with the version released on Ladies Room Volume 1. History (Borrowed from www.mysd.org): The Pink Tape AKA Barenaked Lunch: This demo tape is usually referred to as "The Pink Tape". The songs were recorded on Ed's Yamaha 4 track recorder, with Ed and Steve producing and Ed mixing. Tyler is not featured on the cassette because he had yet to join. 2,000 copies were made, but all were mastered incorrectly, and they play too fast. As a result, very few tapes are in circulation. The Yellow Tape: This demo tape is referred to as "The Yellow Tape". Early versions incorrectly spell Tyler Stewart?s name as "Tyler Steward". This cassette is the only indie release to ever crack the Top 100, much less the top 20. Fan Club Christmas Single: Christmas giveaway to members of the Barenaked Bulletin fan club. Plain white cassette with blue text giving a Christmas greeting in English and French. Cover has a picture of a snowman on it. Creeggan Christmas features Andy Creeggan on congas and drums (overdubbed). Steven Page and Tyler Stewart do background vocals.
