| Note | Fantastic sounding show. And a few hilarious comments from low-IQ morons around the taper to boot!
High-energy, early-in-the-tour vibe to this one. Everything is not as robotic tight as it gets later in the tour (only 98.7% tight), but that's what makes this one fun to listen to. Somewhere during the show, a fellow close behind the taper decides to chant "Tool sucks, Tool sucks!!" in one of those greasy, pock-filled redneck voices that make you cringe. Then he just stops .... Ok. Then later, as the intermission is dying down and Parabol is beginning, a loud, stumbling, slurring voice comes abruptly blasting into your ears: "Waiaiat right heaarrrr. Justtt waiiat rightt here. Iiii ggottta give you somme shhhit. I'll pay ttttop dollar fffor that." Now I can't tell if the guy's mentally retarded or just another drunk hick slurring his words, but evidently he's spotted the taper's rig and wants the recording. Meanwhile you can hear the taper trying to deflect attention and get rid of this guy: "Shhh. Just shhh. Ok. Ok. Shhh." It's stuff like this that makes live recordings worth tracking down! Tech notes: Many of the tracks have slight ticks/inconsistencies in the track transitions. Also, Reflection has some small digi-glitches from 3:00 - 5:00. I've traded three times for this, and all have had the same flaws. This copy is straight from a DAT clone, so it is not due to flawed audio copying. I'm not sure what to think. |
