NoteHere is an audience recording of the Trevor Dunn's Trio Convulsant. The Hemlock Tavern is a very cool bar with a very small space for shows in the back and tonight it was packed with about 50 people for this early evening show. Some bleed from the jukebox up front on the softer sections and minimal crowd chatter. This was my first show to tape with this rig and I would rate the overall sound as A with great instrument definition some fine bass and then these 2 incidents: A fabulous rookie mistake of hitting the pause button instead of the light button during the Duke Ellington cover that misses about 3 seconds of music - you can notice it but it isn't very jarring and then some minor mic noise before the last tune as I moved the mics around a bit. The trio had been out on the road supporting The Melvins but The Melvins had just cancelled the tour because of illness and there is some Melvins bashing going on.
