TOGETHER AGAIN Flaws: occasional muffled sound, occasional clipping (Emmylou's vocals) Comments: My buddy Dave taped this show from up front near the stage, which was set up in the fairgrounds infield facing some bleachers...it had been raining during the day prior to this evening set, and it was very humid - the music seemed to just "hang" in the air...as far as the sound goes, I'd rate it a strong B+...according to Dave, many conspicuous tapers were shut down before the first note was played, which prompted him to use his stealth setup (pinpoint mic on the bleacher seat next to him, with a shirt covering it) - surprisingly, the sound is quite good! My favorite recollections of this concert are the many soaring Telecaster solos that Frank Reckard played that night - he's the next best thing to Albert Lee! enjoy! - Zeb |
